Iβve been a loyal customer of Cold Stone Creamery in McAllen for quite some time, and I want to start by saying that the employees are usually friendly and provide good customer service. Unfortunately, the ongoing operational issues at this location have become frustrating. On several different visits, the ice cream cooler has not been working properly, leaving the ice cream extremely soft. Other times, theyβve been out of basic ingredients or toppings, including bananas, and this has happened more than once. There have also been multiple occasions where the credit card system wasnβt working, meaning customers couldnβt use a card or tap to pay. In todayβs world, itβs unrealistic to expect everyone to carry cash. The staff themselves are not my issue. My concern is the repeated equipment, inventory, and payment-system problems. I enjoy Cold Stone and would like to continue coming here, but these recurring issues really need to be addressed by management.

The ice cream isn't bad...but I felt rushed...I would have preferred to buy a pint of hill country fare ice cream I asked for rocky road and got 2 separate scoops one strawberry and chocolate with whatever came close- I'll just stick to ben&& Jerry's at least I can enjoy my favorites in the same cup with this heat.

I never thought Iβd be leaving a review over strawberries, but here we are. Ihate to be a Karen, but I ordered strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberriesβnot a scavenger hunt for whole strawberries. They werenβt chopped or mixed in at all, just giant pieces sitting on top. Itβs a small detail, but itβs the kind of thing that makes the dessert.

Very nice clean location in McAllen. Nice outside seating to enjoy your creation. Teenage boy employee seemed rude and like he didnβt want to be working. He was very impatient as we decided what we wanted to order. My husband and I got the same thing, same flavor. Instead of mixing each one up separately, he put all the ingredients down for both orders out on the slab and combined it all together. Time saver ?? yes, however itβs hard to make sure each person got enough of the peanut butter topping and peanut butter cups. We would come back again because we like Cold Stone, but would hope we donβt have the same employee.

Stopped by to try one of the monthly specials. Our first visit here. The staff was great. They made sure to make our order the way we wanted. Very clean store. So many flavors to choose from. Then do I get a cone or cup. My wife got the waffle cone. She thought it had a chocolate dipped bottom. Alas it did not. So Ii helped her eat it. I like getting mine in a cup. The heir rewards app is great. It's easy to earn points for rewards. We will be back
